Hayley is a mum of three boys who retains her sanity (or at least a smear of it) by escaping into books or practising yoga. She started writing children’s books shortly after the birth of her first child, some twelve years ago, and hasn’t stopped since. After writing several children’s picture books she veered into poetry, which led to the publication of her first verse novel, Indies Today Best Poetry 2001, Breaking Birds. 

She now writes Greek mythology reimaginings, novels born from lyrical prose and heartbreaking tragedy.
