When Inspector Branch dumps a cold case on DCI Kevin Gregg’s desk, he doesn’t hold out much hope of solving it. Kevin tries to ignore the reminders of his partner’s death when he reads that it was a young woman who was killed in a hit-and-run. This perpetrator wasn’t found, but at least Rachel’s death isn’t sitting on the unsolved pile.
