Ronnie Ashmore was born in Hamilton Texas and went to school in Jonesboro Texas. He had an interest in books from an early age when he began reading Westerns by Louis Lamour, Elmer Kelton, Luke Short, and others. Books opened a pathway to other worlds and he soon became an avid reader of various genres.  His law enforcement experience shapes how he writes westerns and mysteries, which are packed with realism and grit. Ronnie is the author of 21 crime thrillers and Western novels that best-selling author Ralph Cotton said “Ashmore creates fierce characters with confidence and authority…”. His many readers would agree.  Many say he has given his characters an authentic voice and a sense of reality. Whether you want a western or a mystery pick up a book and let his writing and the characters paint a story of their lives.
