What if ‘Once in a Lifetime’ wasn’t the only time for true love?
Desiree Gardner lost her husband to cancer and never thought she’d love again. She felt fulfilled with her 12-year-old son, her immediate family, and her teaching career. That is, until a chance encounter with her high school crush has her wondering whether love is possible a second time.
Patrick Young, recently divorced, rediscovers himself and what he wants. When Desiree, a former crush, returns home, he tries to take advantage of the second chance he’s been given with her. In high school, his friends convinced him not to ask her out because she was weird. Now that he’s older and wiser, he knows what he wants, and he wants Desiree.
Desiree’s at war with her own heart-and with her son. Patrick has to convince Desiree and her son that they’ll all be happier together. If he can do that, they just might find their happily ever after.
About The Author
Julie Leister grew up as an avid reader, following her father’s example. Her favorite books to read are fantasy, romance, science-fiction, women’s fiction, mystery, thrillers, or basically anything that isn’t horror. Reading so much variety led her to want to craft her own stories. She eventually wants to break into multiple genres but has started off as a writer of romance. She usually has two to three book ideas that she’s working on at a time.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in English Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho, and substitute taught for a few years until family life took precedence.
She currently lives in Idaho Falls, Idaho with her husband and three girls—the two youngest of which are adopted and are half-sisters. In her spare time, she reads, crochets, sews, cross stitches, and works on her stories. She also loves spending time with her family.
