About the Author
Susan, or as her friends call her, “Shining-Star,” has spent nearly five decades studying and working with various teachers. With a background deeply rooted in spirituality, she spent years embracing a lifestyle like her ancestors. However, a life-altering injury forced her to move into a city far removed from the simplicity she once cherished. Now, after more than 20 years she has evolved into a modern-day homesteader.
Susan has a mission to share the things she knows with others, teach people how to take care of the Earth, grow closer to the Creator, and find more joy, peace, and meaning in their lives.
In addition to writing, Susan is busy creating a Backyard Oasis Homestead, a special place where she and others can connect with nature and enjoy her sanctuary. She’s not alone at her homestead – she has a service dog, along with ducks and rabbits as her special companions!
